Hey guys,

Just wanted to run by you a question about what I think is a fairly rare piece of hockey memorabilia. My fiance has a game used autographed stick from Ron Francis. What is unique about this stick is it is marked with the number 21, which I believe means it can only be from his first year in Carolina. I have a trading card from 1999 and the stick he is holding matches this one, and cards from 1998 and 2000 show him with a similar but different stick. Since my fiance used to work at the RBC center and players used to give her stuff all the time (a lot of stuff from when she had her broken ankle..) I'm 100% sure its authentic but of course I would never question it, and of course it is not for sale. I would value it at between 600$ and 1000$ based on what I've seen other sticks go for and with it being pretty rare. What do you guys think? Again, this is just an academic question since its not for sale, but in my mind I think it would be worth a heck of a lot.

On a side note, she also has a game used Sami Kapanen autographed stick, which the funny thing was she retrieved it from her parents house and I hung it up on the wall about 2 days before he announced his retirement, so that stick jumped up in value as well.

You really don't want that old thing now do you? I mean...he went to the Stanley Cup Finals as a Cane wearing 10, his retired number is 10. If you decide you don't want, heck, I might be persuaded to give you a few bucks for it.... biggrin.gif

5K? wow.. I don't think it would go for that much.. but then again I ask Danielle (my fiance) nearly every weekend why oh why oh why doesnt she work at the RBC anymore.. (bad managment and switching foodservice companies a few times i think)..... she's got pictures galore and the two sticks and all kinda of cool stuff.
